The Bulldogs lost the shooting battle 52%-42% but forced 14 turnovers to total 21 more looks at the basket to remain competitive. Henry Ellenson led Marquette with a game high 32 points and ten rebounds on 8-14 with Traci Carter tossing in 15 points. Jajuan Johnson added eleven points and six helpers as the offense was both balanced and explosive at the same time.

The Seton Hall Pirates are in contention four a spot in the top four in the Big East which would enhance their chances of nabbing a decent seed in the Big Dance. The Pirates are coming off of a 75-65 win at Creighton as 5.5 point underdogs. A 40-27 first half burst did the trick behind a 45%-41.8% shooting edge with nine more looks at the basket resulting in six more field goals. Isaiah Whitehead led all scorers with 22 points and six helpers on 9-17 with Desi Rodriguez adding 14 points and ten rebounds. Angel Delgado was next in line with 13 points and 12 boards while Ismael Sanogo scored 12 points and snagged another eight rebounds.
