USA TODAY Sports

The Chattanooga Mocs won their 6th straight game and improved to 19-3 (8-1 Southern) on the season after defeating The Citadel Bulldogs, 125-85, this past Monday. The 125 points was a school record for Chattanooga and had no problem getting the win after scoring an incredible 77 points in the 2nd half. Chattanooga shot 54.9% from the field and 78.7% (37-47) from the FT line. The Mocs held the Bulldogs to 36.9% shooting from the field and won the turnover battle by a 14-6 margin. Leading the way for Chattanooga was Greg Pryor who had 21 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. On the season, the Mocs have been led by Casey Jones (12.6 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.9 apg), Justin Tuoyo (11.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.2 apg), and Tre McLean (11.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.5 apg). Offensviely, Chattanooga is averaging 78.6 ppg on 47.3% shooting from the field and 38.2% shooting from beyond the arc. The Mocs average 8.3 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.30. Defensively, Chattanooga is holding their opponents to an average of 67.6 ppg on 43.2% shooting. The Mocs have a rebound margin of 4.1 and a turnover margin of 2.4.

The Terriers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. The Mocs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.

Chattanooga is by far the best team in the Southern Conference this season as they are a very balanced team that is solid on both sides of the floor. Wofford was expected to be one of the teams that might challenge Chattanooga this season, however, has struggled a bit defensively as they rank 338th in the country in defensive FG %. Chattanooga was able to get a 9-point victory against Wofford on the road earlier this season and as the Terriers are just 3-10 on the road this season, I think the Mocs will put together another solid performance and cover this large spread. Take Chattanooga to cover.
