The Denver Pioneers have a chance to move to the top half of the Summit League but a shift in momentum is needed. The Pioneers fell to 3-6 in the conference after a 67-56 loss to South Dakota State as a six point home dog. The Jackrabbits broke the game open with a 43-31 second half behind nearly 47% accuracy while DU countered at 42% but fell short on threes and at the charity stripe. CJ Bobbitt and Joe Rosga were top scorers for the Pioneers at 12 points apiece with Marcus Byrd adding eleven points and six pulls. Nate Engresser tossed in seven points but the offense needed more production from everyone.
INDPU are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. Summit are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall while going 7-24 ATS in their last 31 Thursday games. Denver are 3-14 ATS in their last 17 Thursday games and the under is 18-6 in their last 24 vs. Summit while the Pioneers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. Indiana-Purdue has a tough task in going for the sweep of Denver on the road but I’ll still back them…
