The Western Carolina Catamounts need a few wins to reverse their recent skid and right the ship. The Catamounts have dropped five of six following an 85-66 loss at Wofford as a 3.5 point underdog with a 46-26 second half breaking open a close contest. Both teams connected at around 43% but the Terrier hit eight more bombs and turned 32 WCU fouls in to a 37-18 advantage which was decisive. Mike Brown led the Catamounts offense with a game high 23 points and six pulls with Torrion Brummitt tossing in 14. Marc Gosselin chipped in with seven points but the offense need more options and Wofford made their free throws.

At 8-15 the North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans won’t be winning the SoCon but finishing in the upper half of the conference is still a possibility. The Spartans were heading in the right direction back to back wins before falling at Mercer by an 81-67 count where the Bears pulled away late. UNCG sank shots at 41% with Mercer hitting half their looks which equaled seven more field goals. The Spartans received 20 points and five yanks with Francis Alonso adding 14 points and six helpers. RJ White followed with 12 points and six boards while Marvin Smith contributed ten points.
