The Fordham Rams snapped their two game losing streak and improved to 12-8 (3-6 A-10) on the season after defeating the Massachusetts Minutemen, 78-72 in OT, this past Saturday. Fordham allowed UMass to force the game into OT with a late three-pointer but was able to build up a five-point lead late in OT and hang on for the win. Fordham was able to shoot 45.5% from the field and 31.8% (7-22) from beyond the arc. The Rams held the Minutemen to 18.5% (5-27) from three-point range and won the turnover battle by a 15-13 margin. Leading the way for Fordham was Joseph Chartouny who had a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals. On the season, the Rams have been led by Mandell Thomas (14.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.3 apg, 2.5 spg), Ryan Rhoomes (13.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.8 bpg), and Joseph Chartouny (9.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 5.1 apg). Offensively, Fordham is averaging 72.7 ppg on 45.5% shooting from the field and 35.6% shooting from beyond the arc. The Rams average 7.7 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.10. Defensively, Fordham is holding their opponents to average 67.7 ppg on 43.3% shooting. The Rams average 4.3 blocks per game and 9.0 steals per game.

The Hawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Saturday games and 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Rams are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games however, just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

The Saint Joseph’s Hawks have been outstanding on the road this season as they have a perfect 7-0 away record which includes a perfect 7-0 road record ATS. Fordham has played well this season as they were able to pick up many wins in their non-conference schedule however have struggled since conference play has begun. Saint Joseph’s has two of the best players in the conference in DeAndre Bembry and Isaiah Miles and I think they’ll continue their road dominance against the Rams in this one. Take Saint Joseph’s to cover on the road.
