The wait for the Southern Utah Thunderbirds to return to last year’s late season success continues as the team has dropped five in a row to fall to 4-16. The Thunderbirds come off a 68-44 defeat to visiting Idaho as a four home dog. The Vandals were up eight at the half and continued to roll over the final 20 minutes. Idaho was just too strong at both ends of the floor with a 54%-35.7% shooting difference adding up to 12 more baskets. Southern Utah did not have anybody break the ten point barrier with John Marshall, Race Parsons and Casey Oliverson scoring nine points each while nobody else managed more then six points.
Eastern Washington are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games and are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall while going 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Big Sky. Southern Utah are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 Saturday games and the over is 7-2 in their last 9 Saturday games while the Thunderbirds are 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games overall. It’s tough beating the same team twice but for me it’s Eastern Washington or walk away…
