USA TODAY Sports

The Wofford Terriers rebounded from their loss to Chattanooga to defeat the Samford Bulldogs, 78-75, this past Saturday to improve to 11-13 (7-4 Southern) on the season.  Wofford was able to get up 33-26 at halftime and hung on late to get the win against the Bulldogs. Wofford shot 44.4% from the field and 55.6% (10-18) from beyond the arc. The Terriers allowed the Bulldogs to shoot 50.0% from the field and 26.7% (4-15) from three-point range. Leading the way for Wofford was Spencer Collins who had 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. On the season, the Terriers have been led by Spencer Collins (15.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.2 apg), Fletcher Magee (11.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.4 apg), and Eric Garcia (11.0 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 4.5 apg). Offensively, Wofford is averaging 70.5 ppg on 43.9% shooting from the field and 40.1% shooting from beyond the arc. The Terriers average 8.2 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.23. Defensively, Wofford is allowing their opponents to average 71.9 ppg on 49.0% shooting. The Terriers average 5.2 steals per game and have a rebound margin of -0.1.

The Keydets are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS loss and 2-11 ATS in their last 13 vs. Southern opponents. The Terriers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.

VMI has had another long season as the Keydets have really struggled on the offensive end of the ball as they rank 303rd in the country in scoring offense and 320th in FG %. Wofford had a tough non-conference schedule but has been solid in conference play and have been outstanding offensively from beyond the arc. Wofford doesn’t have the best defense in the world but they’ve been solid at home this season in conference play and I think they’ll get enough offense in this one to cover this large spread. Take Wofford to cover.
