The Missouri Tigers shoot for an SEC road win at the Vanderbilt Commodores Wednesday.
The Missouri Tigers have not had a season for the record books with the team in a downward spiral with eight consecutive defeats. The Tigers come off an 80-51 loss at Alabama as a 10.5 point road underdog on Saturday. The Crimson Tide won with solid 47% shooting with better long range shooting besting the 42% shooting Tigers. The Vanderbilt Commodores were supposed to challenge for the SEC title but instead are fighting to stay in the middle of the standings. The Commodores are coming off of an 85-78 defeat at Mississippi Saturday as they saw a two point lead at the break go by the wayside with the Rebels racking up 48 second half points. Vandy connected at nearly 46% with Ole Miss countering with 36% but 19 Commodores turnovers gave Mississippi ten more looks at the basket and ten more free throws was a winning effort. Luke Kornet led the offense with 20 points and nine rebounds with a 19 point, six pull and nine assist effort from Wade Baldwin IV. Nolan Cressler tossed in 14 points and Damian Jones chipped in with nine points.
Missouri are 8-18-2 ATS in their last 28 road games. Vanderbilt are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs. Southeastern and the under is 5-2-1 in their last 8 Wednesday games. Missouri’s record speaks for itself but I’ll take the points even though I have no interest…
