The Chattanooga Mocs can both score and defend which gives them the ability to win in any number of ways. Both ends of the floor has contributed to nine consecutive victories capped off by a 72-66, overtime win at Mercer as a two road dog. Both team sank shots in the 37%-38% range with the Mocs hitting a few more threes and free throws to overcome a few more Bears field goals. Demetre Rivers led a trio of double digit scorers with 20 points and eight rebounds on 8-14 with Phillip Leonard adding 18 points and five yanks. Stephon Jelks tossed in 12 points while Jordan Strawberry chipping in with seven points, six pulls and eight assists.

The Western Carolina Catamounts goal is to reach the middle of the pack in the SoCon to improve their position for the conference postseason. The Catamounts halted a three game slide with a 69-60 victory at VMI on Saturday as a 3.5 point favorite. WCU took a 12 point lead in to the locker room and held serve the rest of the way behind 49% marksmanship which accounted for six more baskets versus the 35% shooting Keydets. Mike Brown gave the Catamounts 17 points and ten pulls with Torrion Brummitt adding 15 points and 12 rebounds. Justin Browning tossed in 12 points and hauled in 12 rebounds while Haboubacar Mutombo and Devin Peterson combined for 21 points.
