USC shot 45.3% from the field and 40.0% (10-25) from beyond the arc. The Trojans held the Bruins to 34.8% shooting from the field and was outrebounded by UCLA by a 40-34 margin. The Arizona State Sun Devils snapped their two game losing streak and improved to 13-11 (3-8 PAC 12) on the season after defeating the Washington State Cougars, 67-55, this past Saturday. Arizona State was able to get out to a 40-32 halftime lead and used a strong defensive 2nd half to secure the win. Arizona State shot 36.1% from the field and 34.6% (9-26) from beyond the arc. The Sun Devils allowed the Cougars to shoot 46.0% from the field and won the turnover battle by a 17-8 margin. Leading the way for Arizona State was Gerry Banks who had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist. On the season, the Sun Devils have been led by Tra Holder (15.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.6 apg), Gerry Blakes (10.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 2.3 apg), and Willie Atwood (10.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.4 apg). Offensively, Arizona State is averaging 76.0 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field and 33.7% shooting from beyond the arc. The Sun Devils average 7.9 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.06. Defensively, Arizona State is allowing their opponents to average 73.2 ppg on 45.0% shooting. The Sun Devils average 5.5 steals per game and have a rebound margin of 2.2.
The Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and 18-8-1 ATS in their last 27 games overall. The Sun Devils are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Friday games however, just 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 vs. PAC-12 opponents.
USC has been a pleasant surprise this season in the PAC-12 and has been solid on the offense end as they rank 12th in the country scoring offense. Arizona State hasn't fared well in conference play this season and has struggled a bit on both sides of the ball as they rank 245th in FG % and 267th in defensive FG%. Although USC has just a 3-3 record on the road, I think the Trojans will be too much offensively for the Sun Devils and that USC will be able to pick a solid road win here. Take USC in the PK.
