The South Alabama Jaguars host the Toy Trojans with positioning in the Sun Belt at stake.
The goal for the Troy Trojans is to escape the conference basement which means they have to be a spoiler with an 8-17 record and the end of the regular season not that far away. The Trojans have won two of three after downing visiting Georgia State 54-53 as a 3.5 point home dog on Saturday. The Panthers hit at 34.5% and were 2-12 from beyond the arc while Troy countered at nearly 38% and were 7-18 on threes to negate a few more GSU field goals. The Trojans received 16 points and eight rebounds from John Walton on 5-7 from the floor with Wesley Person Jr. tossing in 14 points on 5-10 including four bombs. Shawn Hopkins netted eleven points and Jordan Varnado chipped in with seven.

The South Alabama Jaguars can make the jump up the standings a few notches with a strong finish. The Jaguars have won back to back contests following an 80-76 victory versus visiting Georgia Southern on Saturday. USA was up eight after 20 minutes and managed to hold off a late Eagles rally. Georgia Southern struggled to find the range at 36% but stayed competitive with the 54% shooting Jaguars because of 18 USA turnovers that led the way to 14 more looks at the basket. Shaq Calhoun and Georgi Boyanov pumped in 20 points apiece with Boyanov snaring nine rebounds. Ken Williams added 15 points and seven assists while Nick Stover and Don Muepokelly combined for 20 points.
