The UIC Flames had their tow game winning streak snapped and dropped to 5-20 (3-11 Horizon) on the season after being defeated by the Youngstown Penguins, 92-91 in 2OT, this past Tuesday. UIC was able to get a 91-85 lead with just 1:23 left in the 2nd overtime but allowed the Penguins outscore them by a 7-0 margin the rest of the way in the loss.  UIC shot 43.2% from the field but lost the turnover battle by a 17-6 margin. The Flames the Penguins to 36.1% shooting from the field and outrebounded Youngstown State by a 60-45 margin. Leading the way for UIC was Dikembe Dixson who had a double-double with 40 points, 17 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. On the season, the Flames have been led by Dikembe Dixson (19.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.7 apg), Tai Odiase (9.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.1 bpg), and Dominique Matthews (9.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.1 apg). Offensively, UIC is averaging 67.5 ppg on 39.2% shooting from the field and 30.4% shooting from beyond the arc. The Flames average 4.4 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 0.80. Defensively, UIC is allowing their opponents to average 77.3 ppg on 42.7% shooting. The Flames have a rebound margin of 2.2 and have a turnover margin of -3.3.

The Titans are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Friday games and 11-5-1 AT in their last 17 games following a straight up win. The Flames are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Detroit has been on a bit of a roll as of late as they’ve won 5 of their last 6 games and has been better on the defensive end allowing their opponents to average 73.8 ppg during that span. UIC has recently shown some signs of life and have been getting outstanding production out of Dikembe Dixson. Detroit has played better on the road as of late however, UIC has been solid over the past two weeks and I think that Dikembe Dixson and Tai Odiase will do enough to keep this game within the number. Take UIC and the points.
