The North Carolina State Wolfpack butt heads with the Clemson Tigers Saturday afternoon.
The defensive minded Clemson Tigers seem to be back on track after a mini slide set them back a bit. The Tigers had dropped three of four before logging back to back wins following a 65-54 decision versus visiting Boston College as a 15.5 point home favorite. A 34-20 second half run put this in the win column with Clemson holding a 40.7%-39% shooting edge with a few more threes and seven more free throws getting the job done. Jaron Blossumgame paced the Clemson attack with 23 points and eight rebounds with Avry Holmes adding 17 points and five assists. Donte Grantham tossed in ten points and snagged six boards but the offense didn’t need to do much.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack need to get above .500 for a possible shot at a postseason tournament because winning the ACC is a long shot. The Wolfpack have been in a funk with losses in seven of ten after falling at Virginia 73-53 Monday as a 12 point underdog. This was a tie game before the Cavaliers had their way in a 42-22 second half behind nearly 54% marksmanship including a 10-18 mark from distance. NC State was held to 40% shooting and could not make up a ten field goal deficit. Malcolm Brogdon paced the Cavs offense with 22 points and five helpers with London Perrantes adding 19 points and another five helpers while four players scored between 6-7 points.
The over is 7-2 in Clemson last 9 Saturday games and Clemson are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall while the Tigers are 17-7-1 ATS in their last 25 Saturday games. NC State are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 Saturday games. This doesn’t look like a slam dunk but I’ll go with the points…
