The George Mason Patriots are going nowhere quick and with the season winding down a winning streak isn’t going to change things. The Patriots have lost three of four following a 79-77, overtime loss to visiting Saint Louis as a 5.5 point favorite. The Billikens blew a 12 point first half lead but eventually won with superior shooting. SLU hit shots at 49% including 9-20 on threes while GM connected at less then 35% but made a game of it with a 23-4 edge at the charity stripe. Jalen Jenkins gave the Patriots 18 points and eleven rebounds on 6-11 with Kameron Murrell tossed in 13 points. Otis Livingston II added eleven points and five assists while Shevon Thompson and Marko Gujanicic netted ten points each and combined for 23 rebounds.

The Massachusetts Minutemen are not going anywhere but have showed some life the past few weeks. UMass saw a chance at a three game winning streak end in a 76-66 defeat at Fordham on Wednesday as a 3.5 point road dog. The Rams jumped to a 15 point lead at the half and kept the Minutemen at bay the rest of the way. Fordham sank shots at 46% including 10-24 from distance with UMass held to 40% from the floor with a 7-27 effort on three possibly costing them a chance at a win. Trey Davis paced the Minutemen with 20 points and ten rebounds with Donte Clark adding 13 points and five helpers. Jabarie Hinds scored another 12 with three others adding between 5-6 points.
