The Wisconsin Badgers face a tall order in the #8 Iowa Hawkeyes on Wednesday night.
The Wisconsin Badgers have been surging with wins in eight of nine but unless they win the Big Ten postseason my take is they don’t go Dancing. The Badgers are coming off of a 69-60 victory versus visiting Illinois as an 11.5 point favorite. The Illini led by five heading to the locker room but Wisky dominated the final 20 minutes with a 45-31 run. Wisconsin held a 43%-39% edge in marksmanship with the Illini totaling 12 more looks at the basket but the Badgers 26-7 advantage at the foul line being decisive. Ethan Happ led Wisconsin with 20 points, 12 rebounds and six steals on 5-7 with Nigel Hayes tossing in 17 points. Bronson Koenig added 14 points and five yanks while Vitto Brown chipped in with nine points.

The Iowa Hawkeyes are second in the Big Ten and are playing for seeding in the NCAA’s. The Hawkeyes have lost two of three after a 79-75 defeat at Penn State as a nine point favorite. The Nittany Lions held a seven point edge after 20 minutes and managed to fend off a late rally. PSU rode 46% shooting and ten bombs that added up to five more field goals versus the 41% shooting Hawkeyes who stayed competitive with eight more makes at the charity stripe. Iowa received a game high 28 points from Peter Jok with Jarrod Uthoff netting 19 points. Four others contributed six points apiece but the defense struggled to get enough stops.
The under is 13-3 in Wisconsin last 16 road games and Wisconsin are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall while going 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. Big Ten. Iowa are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 Wednesday games. The over is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings and the underdog is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. I don’t think the Badgers are outclassed enough to give them all these points…
