The St. Bonaventure Bonnies rebounded from their surprising loss to the LaSalle Explorers to defeat the 15th ranked Dayton Flyers, 79-72, this past Saturday to improve to 18-7 (10-4 A-10) on the season. St. Bonaventure got a huge game from Jaylen Adams and used a late three-pointer from Adams to break a late 72-72 tie and get the huge road win. St. Bonaventure shot 43.9% from the field and 50.0% (10-20) from beyond the arc. The Bonnies held the Flyers to shoot 41.1% shooting from the field and 23.8% (5-21) from three-point range. Leading the way for St. Bonaventure was Jaylen Adams who had 31 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. On the season, the Bonnies have been led by Jaylen Adams (18.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 5.1 apg, 1.3 spg), Marcus Posley (18.4 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3.6 apg, 1.3 spg), and Dion Wright (16.0 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.1 spg). The Dukes are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Bonnies are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games.
Duquesne has really struggled as of late as during their five game losing streak the Dukes are allowing their opponents to average 87.0 ppg. St. Bonaventure got a huge win against Dayton and has an impressive 11-2 record at home this season. St. Bonaventure is holding their opponents just 66.8 ppg over their last five games however, Duquesne has been competitive on the road this season with close losses at Dayton and Rhode Island, and as the Dukes were able to take down the Bonnies by a 95-88 margin earlier in the season, I think Duquesne will be able keep this one close enough to cover with the points.
