The Texas State Bobcats have upset on their mind when they visit the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans.
The Texas State Bobcats play their fair share of close games thanks to their defensive style of play that has generally kept the scoreboard under control. The Bobcats have won three of four after picking up a 71-60 victory at Arkansas State as a three point underdog Thursday. The Bobcats broke open a tie game with a 40-29 second half run by limiting the Red Wolves to under 32% from the floor while countering at nearly 44% for nine more field goals. The Bobcats received a game high 21 points and seven boards from Emani Gant with Cameron Naylor adding 14 points and nine rebounds. The Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans were not even part of the Sun Belt conversation in the preseason but they are now with a dominating performance this season. The Trojans are motoring towards the conference crown with a four game winning streak under their belt after downing Texas Arlington 72-60 as a 6.5 point favorite on Thursday. The Trojans jumped out to an eleven point lead heading to the locker room and traded baskets the rest of the way. The Mavericks hit at 42% and sank eight more free throws while UALR connected at 47% including 10-19 on threes with eight more field goals overall. Josh Hagins led the attack with 17 points, five yanks and five assists with Lis Shoshi tossing in 13. Roger Woods and Mareik Isom combined for 21 points with Isom snagging seven boards.
Texas State are 4-16-1 ATS in their last 21 Saturday games and are 12-25-1 ATS in their last 38 road games. Under is 10-1 in UALR last 11 Saturday games and 6-2 in UALR last 8 overall while going 6-2 in their last 8 vs. Sun Belt. For a pick I’m tempted to take the points in a nothing to play for game…
