The Idaho Vandals host the Eastern Washington Eagles with third in the Big Sky still up for grabs.
The Eastern Washington Eagles had won seven in a row before falling at Portland State 107-91 as a 3.5 point road favorite. The Eagles fell behind by 20 after 20 minutes and were never able to mount a comeback despite 50% marksmanship because the Vikings connected at an uncanny 64.7% shooting which was a difference of 13 field goals. Austin McBroom poured in a game high 36 points on 11-22 with Venky Jois adding 20 points and six pulls. Bodan Bliznyiuk followed with 12 points and seven boards while Felix Von Hofe contributed eleven points. This was a case of great offense and a struggling defense.

The Idaho Vandals had won five of six before dropping a 68-65 decision at Sacramento State which cost them at least a tie for third in the Big Sky. The Vandals appeared to have control of this game with an eight point lead at the break before the Hornets regrouped for a big second half comeback. Sacramento State held a slight 43%-42% marksmanship edge along with eight more looks at the basket for four more baskets with Idaho’s nine extra makes at the stripe keeping things very tight. Perrion Callandret paced a balanced Idaho attack with 14 points with Victor Sanders netting 12 points. Nabshon George and Arkadiy Mkrtychyan each scoring eleven with Mkrtychyan snaring eight rebounds.
Eastern Washington are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and the over is 18-8-1 in their last 27 road games while going 37-18-1 in the Eagles last 56 overall. The under is 10-2 in Idaho last 12 Saturday games and Idaho are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 Saturday games while the under is 17-7 in their last 24 overall. This looks like a toss up and should be close so I’ll side with the points…
