The Line: Jacksonville Dolphins -5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Jacksonville Dolphins take on the Lipscomb Bison in the Atlantic Sun quarterfinals.
The Lipscomb Bison finished the season 6th at 11-20 with defeats in two of three to end the year. The Bison have beaten the top teams in the conference so they are a team that has to have some confidence heading in to the postseason. The Bison have been outscored 81-78 so their best chance at winning is to score plenty of points and hope their defense can get enough stops to come out on top. If Lipscomb is going to have success then leading scorer JC Hampton will have to at least match his 15.5 point average and hit better then 40%. Nathan Moran and Josh Williams are 12 point scorers with Garrison Matthews adding almost eleven points. While these guys will be doing the bulk of the scoring, Forward Eli pepper and center George Brammeier need to have some control in the paint and backboards.

The Jacksonville Dolphins were hot a month ago but were cold over the final weeks with losses in four of five so the question of having momentum is a real question. The Dolphins have outscored opponents 76-75 so the margin for error isn’t great although the team has walked a fine line to third so they have fared well. The Dolphins have the offensive firepower to score with any team led by Kori Babineaux and his nearly 19 points and five boards. Marcel White averaged over 15 points and nearly six rebounds while Darius Dawkins gave the team 14 points for a solid three man rotation that will be leaned on heavily. JR Holder and Josh Adeyeye have scoring and rebounding ability at almost 20 points and eight boards and could step up if any of the top three falter.
The under is 9-2 in Lipscomb last 11 road games and is 8-3 in their last 11 vs. Atlantic Sun while going 13-5 in LIP their 18 overall. The over is 7-2 in Jacksonville last 9 overall. This looks like a toss up so I’ll take the points…
