The Line: Fairleigh Dickinson Knights -6 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The St. Francis (PA) Red Flash shoot for the upset of the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in the NEC quarters.
The 7th seed St. Francis (PA) Red Flash certainly seemed headed for a higher seeding before ending the regular season on a five game slide. On the year the Red Flash have been outscored 73-70 which were not the numbers we saw in their season ending losing streak. St. Francis needs to recapture some momentum which means consistent scoring and more stopping power at the defensive end of the floor. Ronnie Drinnon is the Red Flash’s star with 13 points and nearly eleven rebounds with Greg Brown and Ben Millaud-Meunier netting around 12.5 points apiece. Three others produce between 7.5-9.7 points so the secondary scorers need to step up and help out at both ends of the floor.

The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights are the second seed in the Northeast Conference at 11-7 with a 15-14 overall record. The Knights possess one of the bigger offense in the country at nearly 78 points but they do struggle to get stops with nearly 79 points allowed. The Knights had lost four of five entering the final week of the season and ended it with consecutive victories and hopefully some much needed mojo. The key to winning is to score and get a few stops which is all that is needed when the offense is clicking. Darian Anderson and Earl Potts Jr. are the big guns for FD with 14.8 points and 14 points respectively and need to at least match those numbers. The two guys that could really hurt St. Francis are 11+ point scorers Marques Townes and Stephan Jiggetts who need to produce a bit more and that would give the Red Flash problems.
The under is 6-2 in St. Francis (PA) last 8 overall and is 7-3 in Fairleigh Dickinson last 10 overall. I don’t think these teams are far enough apart to ignore the points…
