The Fresno State Bulldogs are fighting for position in the MWC when the Colorado State Rams visit on Tuesday.
The Colorado State Rams will be finishing somewhere in the middle of the pack in the Mountain West so they will be looking to win their final two games and carry some momentum in to the conference postseason. The Rams have lost four of five after an 87-80, overtime loss at Nevada on Sunday as a 2.5 point underdog. Nether team shot the ball well with the Wolf Pack holding a 38%-34.7% shooting edge. The real difference maker was Nevada’s seven more free throws and a few more baskets. Antwan Scott gave Colorado State a game high 30 points and nine boards with John Gillon tossing in 18 points. Emmanuel Omogbo added ten points and 15 rebounds while Tiel Daniels chipped in with eight points and hauled in 13 boards.

The Fresno State Bulldogs control their own fate with wins in their final two games giving them second place in the Mountain West. Lose both and they are likely going to drop in the standings. The Bulldogs have been doing their part with victories in eight of ten after a crucial 92-82 win at New Mexico as a seven point road dog on Saturday. A 51-39 second half explosion did the trick with the Lobos holding a 53.8%-50% shooting edge but also committing 18 turnovers to give the Bulldogs eight more looks at the basket. Marvelle Harris gave the Fresno attack 32 points and ten assists with Julien Lewis scoring 21 points. Cullen Russo and Karachi Edo scored 13 and 12 points and combined for 14 rebounds while Jahmel Taylor chipped in with nine points.
The over is 6-2 in Colorado State last 8 road games and is 11-5 in Fresno State last 16 Wednesday games. The Bulldogs are the better team and win but I think the spread is right on…
