The #11 Louisville Cardinals visit the #3 Virginia Cavaliers to close out the regular season.
The #11 Louisville Cardinals know they are heading to the NCAA’s but if they can win a few games in the conference playoffs a better seed is a likelihood. The Cardinals have won four of five after squeezing by pesky Georgia Tech 56-53 as a 12 point home favorite on Tuesday. Both teams sank shots in the 36% range but the Yellow Jackets were hurt by 17 turnovers and just seven trips to the stripe where Louisville held a decisive 12-5 edge. Chinanu Onauku paced the Cardinals attack with 17 points and eleven rebounds with Damion Lee tossing in 14 points. Quentin Snider netted eleven points production was scarce otherwise.

I have to admit I didn’t the Virginia Cavaliers looked all that great at times but at the end of the day they are 23-6 and ranked number three in the nation which speaks for itself. The Cavs have won three of four after knocking off Clemson 64-57 Tuesday as a four point road favorite. The Cavs were up six at he half and traded baskets the rest of the way with 40% shooting and six more looks staying even with the Tigers 43.5% accuracy while a few more free throws and threes won it. Malcolm Brogdon paced the Cavs with 18 points with a 4-7 mark on threes with Evan Nolte tossing in 13 points. Anthony Gill added eleven points and ten rebounds while Mariel Shayok and Devon Hall scoring nine points apiece with 12 combined rebounds.
Louisville are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games and are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games while the under is 8-2 in their last 10 overall. The under is 8-1 in Virginia last 9 overall and is 8-1 in their last 9 vs. Atlantic Coast while the Cavaliers are 38-14-2 ATS in their last 54 Saturday games. I think Virginia has gotten everything going the way they want now even though laying kind of chalk to Louisville doesn’t seem right…
