The Vermont Catamounts face the New Hampshire Wildcats in the America East semifinals.
The New Hampshire Wildcats were playing well to end the season and carried some of that momentum in to the quarterfinals where they knocked of a stubborn Binghamton 56-51 as a 9.5 point favorite. The Wildcats defense shouldered the load with the offense held to 27% shooting. The Bearcats connected at 42% but hurt themselves with a 3-17 effort on threes with UNH winning it with nine more free throws. Daniel Dion saved New Hampshire with a game high 23 points on 6-14 from the floor with Tanner Leissner adding 14 points and eleven rebounds while Jaleen Smith chipping in with eight points.

The Vermont Catamounts were hot entering the America East with five straight victories and added to that total with a 99-82 rout of Maine in the conference quarterfinals. The Catamounts jumped to a 19 point lead heading in to the locker room and were content to trade baskets over the final 20 minutes as an 18 point favorite. The Black Bears were held to 42% while Vermont didn’t miss at nearly 66% for a difference of ten field goals. Cam Ward paced the offense with 24 points on 9-13 from the floor with Ethan O’Day adding 21 points and ten rebounds on 7-9. Kurt Steidl next in line with 14 points and nine boards while Trae Bell-Haynes and Ernie Duncan scoring eleven points apiece.
