The Tulane Green Wave and the Central Florida Knights look to extend their seasons in an AAC opener.
The Tulane Green Wave are at the bottom of the AAC standings at just 3-15 and have been a bit better out of conference with a 10-21 record altogether. The Green Wave have struggled for consistent offense and have been outscored 70-66 which is a big problem at the defensive end. The Green Wave have lost five straight and eight of ten and either need their ‘D’ to completely control opponents or more logically get a bit more scoring. Louis Dabney paces the offense with 14.6 points but is just a 37% shooter with Malik Morgan and Dylan Osetkowski scoring around 13 and eleven points with Osetkowski grabbing a team high 8.6 rebounds. There are too many players that don’t shoot well and if they can squeeze out another basket here and there the team has a chance.

I thought the Central Florida Knights were an improved squad but when all is said and done I’m not sure I was correct with defeats in eight of ten with both wins coming against the Green Wave. The Knights are 12-17 and just 6-12 in the conference with team being outscored 72-70. Those numbers are not completely awful but down the stretch the offense has been fortunate to score in the 60’s which is impossible to make work long term. AJ Davis is the lone double digit scorer at almost 12 points with Adonys Henriguez adding nearly ten points. Six others contribute 5-8 points but the bottom line is not enough is 5-8 of the top scorers are shooting less then 40%.
Tulane are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 Thursday games and are 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall while the under is 18-5 in their last 23 Thursday games. The under is 14-3 in Central Florida last 17 Thursday games and the under is 8-3 in their last 11 overall. Tulane are 1-10-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings and the under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings. I see Tulane is favored and I have to take the points, right or wrong…
