The South Carolina State Bulldogs appeared to be in cruise control with a 14 point lead heading to the locker room versus Norfolk State. However the Spartans came roaring back only to fall short in the closing seconds as a 4.5 point favorite to fall 67-65. SCSU was easily the better shooting squad at 47%-39% which was good for three more baskets while the Spartans stayed close with four more free throws. The Bulldogs received 16 points and eight boards from Gabe McCray with Greg Mortimer scoring 14 points. Eric Eaves and Ed Stephens netted eleven points apiece as the Bulldogs balance was a tad better then the Spartans balance.
The under is 9-1 in South Carolina State last 10 neutral site games and is 19-7 in their last 26 overall. Hampton are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall and the over is 6-2-1 in their last 9 neutral site games. Both teams have similar numbers so I don’t see a huge line…
