The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in thier last 4 scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 neutral site games. THe Owls are 4-0 ATS in thier last 4 neutral stie games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 19-8 ATS in thier last 27 games following a ATS win.
Temple was able to defeat UConn in both matchups this season as the Owls won a 55-53 battle on the road and a 63-58 matchup at home. Both of these teams are two of the best defensive teams in the country and at times, can struggle on the offensive end. UConn is ranked 10th in the country in scoring defense and 5th in defensive FG%. Temple is ranked 69th in the country in scoring defense and 61st in defensive FG%. I imagine UConn will be feeling the effects of their 4-OT game from today, and as I think Temple will be favored at most by a couple of points, I’m initially leaning towards taking Temple. I will also be interested in seeing where the O/U ends up as I can see this one being a real low scoring game. Please check back for updates when the line is posted.
Update: UConn is actually favored by a couple in this one and as I mentioned last night, as I believe the Huskies will struggle on the offensive end from the effects of their 4-OT thriller against Cincinnati, I like Temple to win in this one. I'm taking Temple on the M/L.
