The Creighton Bluejays are out to win the NIT and prove they were deserving of a spot in the Big Dance. Creighton took a step towards that goal with a one sided 87-54 rout of Wagner to head to the tournament quarterfinals. The 14.5 point favorite jumped to a 21 point lead going to the locker room and continued to pour it on until the final buzzer. Both ends of the floor were at their best with the Seahawks limited to 28% from the floor while the Jays burned the nets at 56% for eleven more baskets while holding a 23-14 edge at the stripe. Geoffrey Groselle was the Bluejays big gun with 18 points and nine rebounds on 7-7 with Zach Hanson tossing in 14. Khtyri Thomas was next in line with 13 points while Mo Watson Jr. and James Milliken combined for 21 points.
