The San Diego Aztecs won the regular season Mountain West title before getting the boot in the conference postseason and then getting snubbed by the NCAA selection committee. That might have lit a fire under the Aztecs who destroyed Washington 93-73 as a 5.5 point favorite to reach the NIT quarterfinals on Wednesday. The Aztecs ended this one early with a 16 point lead at the break before trading baskets the rest of the way. The Huskies were limited to 38% from the floor with SDSU hitting at almost 45% for four more buckets, free throws and threes. Winston Shepard paced the Aztecs with 20 points and ten boards with Trey Bell scoring 16. Jeremy Hemsley and Matt Shrigley netted 13 points and 12 points respectively while Dakarai Allen and Malik Pope chipped in with ten points each with Pope grabbing 12 rebounds.
Georgia Tech are 14-3-1 ATS in their last 18 Wednesday games and are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 road games while the over is 15-7 in their last 22 Wednesday games. The over is 8-3 in San Diego State last 11 overall and the under is 38-18 in their last 56 home games. Both teams have destroyed the opposition but with no line out I’m leaning Aztecs…
