The UC Irvine Anteaters visit the Columbia Lions with the CIT championship up for grabs.
The UC Irvine Anteaters didn’t win the Big West but they are better off in my view as they are in the CIT championship which is a great accomplishment. The Anteaters reached the title game with a dominant 66-47 victory at Coastal Carolina as a six point favorite. UCI led by eight at the half before pulling away to win easily. The Chanticleers were held to just 27% shooting which made the Anteaters 42% a huge factor as it added up to seven more field goals. Luke Nelson paced UC Irvine with 15 points and five assists with Alex Young adding eleven points and eight boards. Mamadou Ndiaye was next in line with nine points and nine rebounds while Mike Best and Jaron Martin netted eight points apiece.

Columbia finished third in the Ivy League and are the only team with a chance to do something which should give them some bragging rights. The Lions took an eleven point lead in to the locker room in defeating New Jersey Tech 80-65 in the CIT semifinals. Columbia looked good at both ends of the floor in holding the Highlanders to 41% from the floor while connecting at 48% and dominating the foul line 16-5. The Lions received a career high 29 points from Maodo Lo on 11-18 with six helpers while Alex Rosenberg tossed in 16 points and posted five yanks. Grant Mullins scored 12 points followed by Luke Petrasek and Lukas Meisner netting eleven points each with six and ten rebounds respectively.
The under is 24-9 in UC Irvine last 33 non-conference games and UC Irvine are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games while the under is 37-18 in their last 55 road games. For now I’ll go with the home team but I really would like both teams to win…
