The Canisius Golden Griffins and Kentucky Wildcats meet Sunday afternoon in a college basketball game at the Rupp Arena on ESPN2.
The Canisius Golden Griffins won 14 games last season and enter this year with a new head coach in former long time Buffalo coach Reggie Witherspoon. Phil Valenti returns after averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 rebounds while Kassius Robertson averaged 14.1 points and 1.8 assists. Jermaine Crumpton was a third double-digit scorer and Chris Atkinson dished 1.9 assists per game. Canisius returns three of four double-digit scorers and has a roster that includes seven upperclassmen. The Canisius Golden Griffins are sure to have growing pains with a new coaching staff or what not, but there’s potential to make a run in the MAAC this season. The Canisius Golden Griffins have lost five straight road games.

This is a truckload of points to lay this early in the season with another Kentucky team that's still so young. Canisius is an experienced team that has guys who can put the ball through the hoop and their up-tempo style of play is sure going to allow them to score enough to keep them somewhat in this game. I'm just not throwing away 30 points in this spot.
