The marquee matchup on Tuesday night takes place at Madison Square Garden as the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils take on the 7th-ranked Kansas Jayhakws in the Champions’ Classic.

The top-ranked Duke Blue Devils improved to 2-0 following a 96-61 dismantling of Grand Canyon University. Grayson Allen was one of 5 Blue Devils in double figures scoring, as he led the way with 25 points on 8 of 17 shooting, including 4 for 12 from beyond the arc to go along with a surprising 10 rebounds for his 1st double-double of the season. Frank Jackson followed Allen’s lead as the only other Blue Devil to log at least 20 points, by putting in 7 of his 10 shots, including 4 for 6 from behind the arc for a total of 21 points in the win. Amile Jefferson made efficient use of his 7 shots, making 6 of them for 15 points while Luke Kennard and Matt Jones put up 14 and 11 points respectively. As a team, Duke is shooting 48.4% from the field, including 37.3% from 3-point range and 69.1% from the charity stripe. Now the Blue Devils get their first real test of the season in a neutral site game against a Kansas squad that will be playing some angry basketball.

Kansas Jayhawks vs. Duke Blue Devils - 11/15/16 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The 7th-ranked Kansas Jayhawks dropped their opening game, a 103-99 overtime heartbreaker to the now 6th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers. Frank Mason stole the show for the Jayhawks, coming close to a triple-double after finishing with 30 points on 8 of 20 from the floor including 13 of 15 makes from the free throw line to go along with 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Devonte Graham made only 3 of his 11 shot attempts however he made 8 of his 9 free throws to balance it out as he finished 2nd in team scoring with 16 points. Kansas also had 5 players finish with double-digits in the scoring department with Mason and Graham being joined by Landon Lucas, who potted 11 points and pulled down 7 rebounds, Carlton Bragg Jr. who made 6 of 7 shots for 12 points and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk who made 5 of his 9 shot attempts including a pair of 3s for 12 points on the night. As a team, the Jayhawks are shooting 43.7% from the field including 30.4% from beyond the arc and 78.9% from the foul line.

Duke is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. the Big 12 and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games while the under is 11-3 in their last 14 games overall. Kansas is 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games overall and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 neutral site games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 Tuesday games.

This game could go either way, as Kansas is the better team as of late on neutral site, but Duke has played well against the Big 12. The spread looks about right, but I’ll still stick with the Blue Devils mainly because I think they have just a little bit more depth than Kansas.

Lay the points with Duke.
