The Arizona State Sun Devils and Tulane Green Wave meet Friday in college basketball action at the HP Field House.
The Arizona State Sun Devils look for a bounce back victory after losing to Northern Iowa, 63-82. ASU struggled big time on the defensive end by allowing 50.9 percent shooting from the field and giving up 13 made threes. The good news for Arizona State is that Torian Graham had 19 points in 34 minutes while Tra Holder had 13 points and two assists. The Arizona State Sun Devils are still a very young football team and will continue to rely on their aggressive offense to win games this season. However, Arizona State must improve defensively or things will get very ugly in the Pac-12. Obinna Oleka was the third Sun Devils starter to score double-digit points. The Arizona State Sun Devils have lost three straight neutral site games.

The Tulane Green Wave look for a bounce back performance as well after losing to the Oklahoma Sooners, 70-89. In the loss, Tulane allowed 51.6 percent shooting and allowed 51 second half points. Offensively, Cameron Reynolds led Tulane with 19 points and six rebounds while Malik Morgan had 10 points and seven assists. Ryan Smith was the third Tulane starter to score double-digit points. Tulane has allowed a combined 260 points in its first three games, a number that needs to decrease if the Green Wave are going to have a successful season in the AAC. Either way, this tournament is good experience for a Tulane team that has just four upperclassmen. The Tulane Green Wave have split their last four neutral site games.
The Sun Devils are 6-20 ATS in their last 26 neutral site games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games. The Green Wave are 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 neutral site games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 Friday games. The under is 5-2 in Green Wave last 7 Friday games and the over is 4-0 in Sun Devils last 4 overall.
Arizona State plays way too much iso ball and can go through droughts at times despite being the better team here. Also, the Sun Devils don't have much size, which will be a problem against the Green Wave. Free double-digit points is probably the side to be on in this matchup.
