USA TODAY Sports
The Marist Red Foxes are 0-3 to start the season but two of the losses were at the hands of Duke and URI. Marist is averaging 62 points per game and they are shooting 35.2 percent from the floor including 26.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc while defensively they are allowing 92.3 points and their opponents are shooting 50.8 percent. Khallid Hart leads the Red Foxes averaging 17.7 points per game. Ryan Funk is averaging 10.3 points for Marist, Brian Parker is averaging 9.7 points, and Isaiah Lamb is averaging 4.7 points. Marist appears to be up against it this season especially in the out of conference portion of their schedule.
Brown is 3-9 against the spread against the MAAC, 5-1 against the spread following a loss, and 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 non-conference games. Marist is 5-1 against the spread against the Ivy League and 8-18 against the spread in their last 26 neutral site games.
Brown looks like an easy winner here to me and this line looks like an outright gift.
