The Western Michigan Broncos and Boise State Broncos both are looking for their second win in college basketball on Sunday.
The Western Michigan Broncos opened the season with a victory versus a subdivision squad but they are in need of momentum after an 85-75 loss to UTEP saddled the team with three consecutive defeats. The Broncos struggled defensively with the Miners firing away at nearly 59% while countering at 42% but WMU stayed reasonably competitive by forcing 17 turnovers and totaling 16 more looks at the basket. The Broncos offense was led by a 20 point, eight board, five assist effort from Tucker Haymond with Thomas Wilder tossing in 16 points. Brandon Johnson netted 12 points and posted five assists while Bryce Moore and Drake LaMont gave WMU a combined 21 points.

Back to back defeats have the Boise State Broncos at 1-2 after an 80-68 loss to Mississippi State had the team looking for defense. The Bulldogs led by eight after 20 minutes and struggled to get stops the rest of the way. Both squads sank shots at an identical 49% but Mississippi State turned 23 Broncos fouls in to 12 more free throws which was decisive. Paris Austin and Chandler Hutchison paced the Boise State attack with 13 points apiece with the latter grabbing six boards while Nick Duncan tossed in 12 points on four bombs. The Broncos offense did well but there were too many freebies at the foul line.
The under is 8-2 in Boise State last 10 non-conference games and Boise State are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Sunday games while the under is 7-3 in Boise State last 10 Sunday games.
Neither team has been getting the job done so what is one to do except take the points and cross your fingers…
