Down at the Virgin Islands Sport & Fitness Center in St. Thomas on Sunday, the North Carolina State Wolfpack will be meeting up with the Creighton Bluejays in college basketball action.
NC State enters this game with a 3-0 record on the season so far. The Wolfpack has bagged wins against Georgia Southern 81-79, against St. Francis Brooklyn 86-61 and against Montana 85-72. In the Montana game, Abdul Malik Abu helped NC State overcome a 40-38 halftime deficit with 25 points.

Leading the way in scoring for the Wolfpack, Abu has 17.3 PPG with 8.7 RPG. Maverick Rowan and Ted Kapita are each averaging 17.0 PPG, with Rowan tallying 9.0 RPG and Kapita 8.0 RPG. Torin Dorn (16.3 PPG; 7.7 RPG) and Terry Henderson (14.0 PPG) are also in double figures for NC State.

NC State’s wins have come against outclassed competition, but to their credit they’ve received some pretty deep scoring performances. Creighton was quite impressive in the Washington State game—at least in the first half—and with Watson running the floor I can see a pretty balanced effort coming here. I’ll take Creighton to cover in a fun-to-watch and competitive game.
