The 2-2 Duquesne Dukes could just as easily be 3-1 after a heart breaking loss to Canisius by a 78-77 count as a 6.5 point favorite. This game was tight throughout with the Golden Griffins sinking half their looks while the Dukes connected at 48% with ten more free throws but nine less three pointers. Emilie Blackman and Tarin Smith forming a solid one, two punch for Duquesne with 18 points each with Smith handing out five assists.. Isiaha Mike gave the Golden Griffins 17 points and seven boards while Mike Lewis II chipped in with nine points but this was really a three man offense.
At 3-0 it’s no surprise to see the Kentucky Wildcats loaded with talent and unbeaten because that their MO. UK comes off a dominant 69-48 rout of national power Michigan State where they were up by eight at the half before pulling away over the final 20 minutes. Kentucky only sank shots at 38% but their defense was tough as they held the Spartans to just 32.8% shooting while forcing 19 turnovers while hitting 13 more free throws. Malik Monk paced the Wildcats with 23 points and snagged six pulls with Isaiah adding 21 points. Da’Aaron Fox totaled 12 points and handed out six helpers.
Duquesne are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and the under is 9-3-1 in Duquesne last 13 non-conference games while the under is 6-2-1 in Duquesne last 9 overall. Kentucky are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall and Kentucky are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games while Kentucky are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games.
If Kentucky plays hard for 40 minutes they cover and if not they just win big so no interest from me…
