The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. The Eagles are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Monday games and4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss of more than 20 points.
Ball State should be one of the better teams in the MAC this season as they have a great one-two punch in Frank House and Tayler Persons, however, the Cardinals do depend on the three-pointers and have struggled from the field in their last two games. Coppin State has had a tough start to their season however have played a very tough schedule with 5 straight road games against some decent teams (Valparaiso, BYU, Utah). Coppin State has a rough 9-22 season last season but with Terry Harris and Joshua Treadwell returning, the Eagles should be one of the contenders in the MEAC this season. Ball State is the better team in this one but Coppin State isn’t nearly as bad as their record and early season statistics might show, and I think this is just too many points for Ball State to cover. Take Coppin State and the points.
