The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks were the best team in the Colonial a year ago and from where I sit it doesn’t seem as if much has changed. The Seahawks improved to 3-0 following a 68-59 win versus a pretty good East Tennessee State club on Sunday as they made a 12 point; lead heading to the locker room hold up. The Buccaneers were held to 44% from the floor while UNCW connected at 48% which equaled a few more baskets and makes at the charity stripe with the Seahawks also forcing 19 turnovers. Devontae Cacok paced the UNC-Wilmington offense with 17 points and eight boards on 8-9 with 15 points and eleven rebounds coming from Chris Flemmings while CJ Bryce and JaQuel Richmond added 13 and 12 points respectively.
The under is 8-3 in Middle Tennessee State last 11 overall.
Middle Tennessee State is the top dog in the CUSA and the Seahawks are the best in the CAA but this will be a real test for them…
