Over on the St. Louis side, they’re coming into Tuesday with a 2-3 record this year. The Billikens dropped their opener to Ball State 85-64, then rattled off wins over Southern Utah 88-76 and Eastern Illinois 74-69. Samford is 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. Samford is also 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight-up loss, and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 non-conference games.
As for St. Louis, they’re 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up loss, and 23-47-1 ATS in their last 71 games overall. St. Louis is also 11-26-1 ATS in their last 38 home games, and 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games following an ATS win.
There’s really not a whole lot to get jazzed about here if you’re not a fan of either team. Both Samford and St. Louis feature some dynamic players—namely Wyatt Walker and Reggie Agbeko—who will be the main attractions in this game. All things considered, Samford has a little more strength up top and should be able to control the boards and the paint pretty well here. I’ll take the Bulldogs to cover.
