The Southern Illinois Salukis face the challenge of the Murray State Racers in college basketball action Tuesday.
I’m trying to get a grip on the Murray State Racers and where they stand and are going in the immediate future. The 3-3 Racers will be looking for back to back wins after taking down Alabama A&M 91-54 with a complete 40 minutes of pedal to the metal making this an easy one. MSU held the Bulldogs to a mere 41% while countering at a monster 57% for 17 more field goals. Jonathan Stark led the Racers attack with a game high 17 points with Jachai Taylor and Damarcus Croaker scoring 14 points apiece. Bryce Jones and Terrell Miller Jr. netted 13 points each with Miller hauling in eleven rebounds as points were never an issue.

The Southern Illinois Salukis had won three in a row before getting cooled down by Minnesota 57-45 on the road as a 15.5 point underdog. The Salukis fell to 3-3 as a nine point Golden Gophers first half lead more then got the job done. SIU defended well enough with Minny hitting at 38% but their own 31% accuracy cost them with a 2-17 effort on threes combining with seven fewer free throws. The Salukis received a game high 15 points from Thik Bol who grabbed seven boards while Austin Weiher, Armon Fletcher and Mike Rodrugues each scored seven points while he also posted nine assists and five yanks.
Murray State are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Tuesday games and Murray State are 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 road games while the over is 11-5 in Murray State last 16 Tuesday games. Southern Illinois are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 vs. Ohio Valley and Southern Illinois are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 Tuesday games while the over is 7-3 in Southern Illinois last 10 vs. Ohio Valley.
This might come down to the last minute and if so, I’ll take the home squad Salukis…
