The Atlanta Hawks and the Charlotte Hornets collide at the Spectrum Center on Sunday night.

The Atlanta Hawks are starting to build some momentum as they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the Heat in a 110-108 home win on Friday. Trae Young led the team with 28 points and seven assists, Kevin Huerter added 21 points on eight of 13 shooting while John Collins chipped in with 15 points on six of eight shooting. As a team, the Hawks shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 14 of 33 from the 3-point line as they held the Heat to just 21 points in the second quarter to take a 10-point lead into halftime, before going on another run in the third quarter to push the lead out to 18 points.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been in red-hot form as they’ve won seven of their past eight games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after making light work of the Thunder in a 121-98 home win on Friday. Terry Rozier led the team with 24 points and nine assists, Miles Bridges added 22 points with 14 rebounds and two blocks while PJ Washington chipped in with 20 points on six of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot 45 percent from the field and 17 of 49 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start and outscored the Thunder by 37-20 in the first quarter to take the early double-digit lead which only grew as the game wore on. Kelly Oubre Jr. had a night to forget as he scored just eight points on three of 14 shooting off the bench.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 10-3 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a win. The Hornets are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the under is 9-2 in the last 11 meetings in Charlotte and the Hawks are 3-9-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Charlotte.

The Hawks are going to be shorthanded once again as Danilo Gallinari and Bogdan Bogdanovic are both still out, while the Hornets will be without Jalen McDaniels who is dealing with a left ankle sprain. The Hawks are finally starting to get on a roll after a sluggish start to the season, while the Hornets will be looking to stay hot after routing the Thunder for their third straight win. You can make an argument for either side here as this one should go down to the wire, but the Hawks are only 3-9-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Charlotte, so I’m sticking with the Hornets to get the win and cover with this short line.
