The Texas A&M Aggies head for the plains of west Texas on Tuesday when the Aggies head to Texas Tech to face off against the Red Raiders.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have had a disappointing season to say the least this season. The Red Raiders are just 1-11 in conference action, and have an overall mark of 8-16 on the season. Texas Tech finally earned their first Big 12 win of the season when the Red Raiders upset the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. The Red Raiders are scoring just over 61 points per game on the season, ranking the Red Raiders 308th in the nation in overall scoring offense...not good.
The Texas A&M Aggies have a better mark than the Red Raiders this season, but not by much as the Aggies are faring just better than the Red Raiders as Texas A&M has a conference record of 3-9, and an overall record of 12-12 on the year. The Aggies are currently on a four game losing streak heading into Tuesday, and in their last outing the Aggies fell to the impressive Iowa State Cyclones 69-46. The Aggies have an offense that is statistically similar to that of the Red Raiders as the Aggies are ranked 299th in the nation, scoring just over 61 points per game.
The Red Raiders have gone under the projected number in six of their last eight games, and even playing at home, the Red Raiders are just 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven games. The Red Raiders have also struggled against the Aggies lately as Texas Tech is just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the Aggies. The total has gone under the projected total in all five of the last five games for the Red Raiders on the road.
I can't really see myself putting much stock into either the Aggies or Red Raiders, so with that being the case I have to go with the under here on Tuesday. Neither squad is playing much offense lately, and while this number is already starting low, I don't feel it's quite low enough as I like this one to dip under the total on Tuesday.
