Portland State Vikings Vs. Oregon State Beavers

OSU has not played on the road yet this year, but did go 1-2 at neutral sites. The Beavs were beaten by 6-2 Alabama and No. 9 Kansas by three and six points while winning 66-58 against 4-5 Purdue on a neutral floor.
Oregon State beat 0-6 Grambling State 85-54 their last game. Junior guard Roberto Nelson led the Beavers with 26 points. Junior guard Ahmad Starks added 17, sophomore forward Eric Moreland had 14 and junior forward Devon Collier had 10.
OSU made 16-of-29 free throws and 11-of-24 three-pointers. The Beavs had 10 more rebounds and 13 less turnovers not to mention three more threes. Oregon State shot 42 percent and held the Tigers to 35.8 from the field.
PSU lost 66-56 during their last game to 4-4 Loyola Marymount to fall to 0-4 in away games. The Vikes led by as many as six and trailed by as many as a dozen. Portland State shot 0.4 percent worse from the floor, but made three more three-pointers to keep a little pressure on the Lions.
The Vikings got to the line half as many times as LMU making 11 less FTs. Guards junior Marcus Hall and sophomore Dre Winston Jr. led PSU with 16 and 14 points. The Vikes ended with the same number of assists, but had 15 less rebounds to not help matters.
Portland State has just had one game at the Stott Center stopping Pacific Oregon 77-58. The Vikings return home after losing by 23 points at No. 24 Oklahoma State, 11 at 7-1 Oregon and 21 at 3-6 Portland on the road. The Beavers should get the win and cover fingers crossed...
