ISU concludes a five-game road trip following a 57-54 loss at 3-9, 1-1 Eastern Washington. The Bengals rallied from 13 points down to take the lead on junior forward Dejan Kostur's layup. Idaho State increased their lead to as many as five with 6:25 remaining.
An 8-0 Eagles run came next though to stymie the Bengals who had two strong offensive games from senior guard Melvin Morgan with 14 points and a double-double from junior center Ayibakuro Preh.
WSU has won six of their last seven games including stifling 4-8 Buffalo 65-54 in Seatte courtesy of conceding just 17 points during the second half. Both teams were on fire from deep, but dismal at the stripe.
The Cougs alone were 10-of-20 on three-pointers and 13-of-24 on free throws. Washington State got 19 from sophomore guard Davonte Lacy and 15 from senior forward Brock Motum.
The Cougars are 7-1 at Wallis Beasley Performng Arts Coliseum winning their last four games by less than 13 points apiece. WSU began the season beaing EWU 88-69. At the Toyota Center in Kennewick the Cougs should cruise past ISU who is 0-7 during away games and 0-2 at neutral sites.
Seven of the Bengals' losses came by less than 15 points. 10-2 Oregon though buried Idaho State 87-35 in Eugene and 7-4 Utah beat the Bengals by 11. Go with Washington State covering.
