The Air Force Falcons will travel to ExtraMile Arena to take on the Boise State Broncos this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Air Force Falcons dropped to 8-6 on the season after being defeated by the Nevada Wolfpack, 75-68, this past Saturday. Air Force struggled on the offensive side of the ball against Nevada and could not fight back after the Wolfpack took a 57-47 lead with 7:54 left in regulation. Air Force shot 38.2% from the field & 38.5% from beyond the arc while allowing Nevada to shoot 45.5% from the field & 28.6% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Falcons was Ethan Taylor who had a triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, & 1 block.

On the season, Air Force is averaging 59.6 ppg on 44.9% shooting from the field. The Falcons are averaging 8.3 three-pointers per game on 36.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Air Force has been led by A.J. Walker (16.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 spg), Ethan Taylor (9.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.9 spg), Jake Heidbreder (9.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.4 apg), & Joseph Octave (8.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg).

Defensively, Air Force is holding their opponents to an average of 60.9 ppg on 41.7% shooting from the field. The Falcons have a rebound margin of -5.0 and a turnover margin of -1.8.

The Boise State Broncos won their 9th straight game and improved to 12-4 on the season after defeating the New Mexico Lobos, 71-63, this past Saturday. Boise State struggled a bit on the offensive end against New Mexico, however, the Broncos dominated on the boards and had no trouble cruising to victory in the 2nd half after taking a 32-22 halftime lead. Boise State shot 35.5% from the field & 30.0% from beyond the arc while allowing New Mexico to shoot 49.0% from the field & 52.6% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Broncos was Marcus Shaver Jr. who had 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, & 3 steals.

On the season, Boise State is averaging 70.2 ppg on 44.4% shooting from the field. The Broncos are averaging 7.4 three-pointers per game on 34.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Boise State has been led by Marcus Shaver (14.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.0 spg), Abu Kigab (13.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.4 spg), Emmanuel Akot (11.8 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 3.2 apg), & Mladen Armus (6.9 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.2 bpg).

Defensviely, Boise State is holding their opponents to an average of 59.2 ppg on 40.3% shooting from the field. The Broncos have a rebound margin of 8.6 and a turnover margin of 0.6.

The Falcons are 4-4-2 ATS on the season, however, are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 January games. The Broncos are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games.

Air Force has been led by their defense which ranks 23rd in scoring defense & 128th in defensive FG%, however, the Falcons have struggled a bit on the offensive end as they currently rank just 344th in scoring offense. Boise has also been led by their defense which ranks 14th in scoring defense, 65th in defensive FG%, & 15th in rebound margin, however, the Broncos can have issues putting up points as they come into this matchup ranked just 223rd in scoring offense.

Boise State is a very good team that certainly has top-25 level talent, however, these are two defensive minded teams and although I think Boise State has no issue picking up a win here, I think Air Force will be able to do enough with the points to get us a cover. Good Luck!
