Jockey Calvin Borel, who rode Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird, will skip the chance of a possible Triple Crown to ride Kentucky Oaks winner Rachel Alexandra in the Preakness. Rachel Alexandria, who was sold last week, won the Kentucky Oaks by 20 1/2 lengths and speculation has been growing ever since to see if she was going to take on the boys in the Preakness Stakes.

Apparently Borel feels that riding a horse like Rachel Alexandra is a once in a lifetime chance and who really could blame him? She is certainly the best filly to come along in a long time and her win in the Oaks was unmatched.

No rider has been named for Mine That Bird as of yet but Mike Smith is being rumored as the Jockey of choice and in an interview with Bennie "Chip" Woolley, he confirmed that he has been speaking to Smith's agent.
