Race three of the Chase for the Cup comes to Kansas Speedway, where Jimmie Johnson won last year following Carl Edwards "bonzai" move on the last lap.

Mark Martin remains 10 points ahead of Jimmie Johnson in the standings after finishing second to the #48 last week. Juan Montoya and Kurt Busch are the other drivers within 100 points of the #5 car.

The Kansas race is known for it's close finishes and last year was no exception as the margin of victory was just .28 seconds, Biffle finished in third behind Edwards with Gordon in forth and Kenseth in fifth. The race had seven cautions for 25 laps and featured 16 lead changes among 10 drivers.

Several of the Chase drivers have had up and down finishes here at Kansas. In the past five years, Edwards has three top six finishes but also finished 22nd and 37th. Ryan Newman has won this race but also has finishes of 43rd, 33rd and 23rd. Tony Stewart won in 2006 and has five top 10 finishes, but crossed the line in 40th and 39th place the past two years.

When the green flag waves on Sunday the front row will consist of Mark Martin and teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr.. Brad Keselowski starts third followed by Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart.

So who makes a move here in the Heartland. Lets take a look at a few of our picks to be up front at the end.

Greg Biffle- The Bif loves Kansas. The #16 won in 2007 and has finished in the top three four out of the last five years. It will be a long trip from the back though as Biffle starts 31st on Sunday.

Jeff Gordon- Gordon won this race in 2001 and 2002 but tailed off a bit until coming back with finishes of 5th and 4th the past two years. Gordon sits 122 points behind Mark Martin and needs to make a move to catch his teammate. Gordon starts ninth on Sunday.

NOTE- THERE WILL BE NO LIVE LAP BY LAP COVERAGE THIS WEEK AS I WILL BE IN THE STANDS FOR THIS RACE ON SUNDAY, BUT LIVE COVERAGE WILL RESUME NEXT WEEK.
