We’ve reached the weekend, which is prime time for another round of fantasy drafts all across the world. With that in mind, it’s a good time to take one more look at some of the noteworthy names out there in the NFL to get some last-minute information that will help in the fantasy season going forward. Here’s the latest.

Kenny Britt, WR, Tennessee Titans: Britt has been a popular choice for a sleeper pick based on where he’s going in the draft. You’ll find him around No. 30 or so among wide receivers, which should give some pretty good value if you find yourself spending a pick that way.
That said, Britt has some injury concerns to worry about. He’s a year off his third surgery on his knee, but is still experiencing swelling and discomfort in the area. It’s going to be a nagging issue throughout the season, and will likely cause him to miss some practice time throughout the week. Still, if he can manage the situation effectively, he should put up nice fantasy numbers.

Roddy White, WR, Atlanta Falcons: White is still dealing with the repercussions of a low-ankle sprain suffered Thursday night against the Ravens. He hurt himself during the second quarter and had to come out of the game. As of right now, he’s considered day-to-day, but don’t expect to see too much more out of him. We’re betting the team rests their star WR to make sure he’s over the injury before the season begins.
If you draft White, you’ll want to keep tabs on this situation, just to make sure it doesn’t turn into an ongoing issue. As of right now, he’s still going anywhere from the No. 7-12 area among those at his position, so he’s definitely a WR1 name.

Brandon Marshall, WR, Chicago Bears: Now that we’ve had a day to digest the Bears’ second preseason game--and Marshall’s debut--there are a few things we can take away from the performance. Namely we know this: Jay Cutler may not even realize that he has other receivers out there on the field with him. He targeted Marshall on all five of his pass attempts against the Chargers, completing four of them.
That’s good news if you’re spending a high pick on Marshall in your fantasy draft, as he’ll once again be the overwhelming favorite of Cutler. We can’t tell a whole lot just yet from the vanilla formations and experimentation going on in the preseason, but regardless, Marshall is a top-five fantasy WR name.

Ryan Mathews, RB, San Diego Chargers: Mathews is in for a big year--are you tired of hearing those words? We hope not, because many fantasy pundits are repeating them again this season. We’re already seeing a lot of people reading into his performances in the Chargers’ first two preseason games (19 and 45 yards, respectively) and trumpeting his return to relevance.
We’re not ready to go that far just yet, but we think Mathews might provide some nice value for where he’s being picked (early 30s among running backs). This year is definitely his last chance to prove himself in San Diego, so the do or die mindset might do him some good.
