Fantasy Football News: Injury Update 9/21/13
Fantasy Football Daily: Injury News 9/21/13
September 21, 2013
It’s Saturday, which means it’s time once again to check in on the noteworthy injuries around the fantasy football world. We've got our usual mix of important names this morning, so let's take a moment to examine the situations and see if you'll have to make a roster change tomorrow. Here’s the latest on some of the ailing players out there.
Danny Amendola, WR, New England Patriots: Amendola owners are quickly learning the meaning of the term "injury risk." He's officially listed as doubtful for the Buccaneers game tomorrow, meaning he'll more than likely be missing his second game in a row. Timeline-wise, we're realistically looking at a few weeks of missed action for Amendola. He's dealing with a torn adductor muscle but it was announced this week that he'll be avoiding surgery. We'll keep you posted on his progress.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots: Let's stick in New England for a moment and check on ol' Gronk. We've got some good news and some bad news on him this morning. The good news is that he's tagged as questionable for tomorrow's game against the Buccaneers. That's an improvement over the doubtful status he's had the first couple of weeks. The bad news is that you'll have to monitor his availability up until game time if you want to start him. Gronkowski may not get too many reps if he plays, but that might not matter. Knowing Tom Brady, he'll make those plays count. Realistically, Gronk would be his most familiar and reliable receiver.
Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Okay, here's the situation with Bryant. He's been limited at practice this week due to his back issues, but was able to overcome the difficulties and participate fully in yesterday’s session. Bryant is listed as probable for tomorrow at home against the Rams so it’s looking like he’ll be just fine for the game. You might want to double-check his status before kickoff just to make sure, but you'll definitely want him in the lineup. He's a top-shelf fantasy receiver and a definite must-start if he's playing.
Reggie Bush, RB, Detroit Lions: Bush has been a hot topic of conversation in fantasy circles all week. Well, here's the scoop at this point: he's officially listed as questionable for tomorrow's game against the Redskins, thanks to his nagging knee injury. This presents an ugly dilemma for Bush owners.
He'll likely be a game-time decision, which is unfortunate since the Redskins matchup is so tasty. Even if he does play, we might see a reduced workload. Joique Bell will pick up some of the slack and makes a decent sub-in if you have to go that route in fantasy.
Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans Saints: It looks like everything is good to go with Colston. He participated fully in practice all week, and earned himself a probable tag for tomorrow’s game against the Cardinals.
So far in two games, Colston has nine catches for 131 yards and a touchdown. He’ll be a starter in your lineup this week.
