Gutsy Gameday Starts
QB: Eli Manning vs Eagles - It's a very rare occurrence when a 3x Pro Bowler, 2x Super Bowl MVP and Champ is considered a risky fantasy start, but in 2013, Eli Manning has been terrible. Manning put up monster numbers in the Giants first game of the season, be he has been outright awful since then. The best cure for Eli's problems is a terrible defense and that is what Manning gets to face on Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles defense has actually performed worse on the field than Eli has. If Eli Manning is going to get back on track this season, it will start sunday against the Eagles.
RB: Zac Stacy vs Jaguars - Wait, what happened to Daryl Richardson and Isaiah Pead? The Rams have not been able to get a ground game going this season, and so now they will give the rookie, Zac Stacy, a chance to play. The Rams have accumulated an NFL low 189 rushing yards on a 2.6 yards per carry average. These terrible numbers are the reason Richardson and Pead will now have to take a seat and Stacy will be given the opportunity to take over this backfield. Stacy played in the SEC for Vanderbilt where he became only the 8th player in SEC history to have back-to-back 1000 yard rushing seasons, and he also graduated in 3 1/2 years. Stacy is a smart talented runner who is going to be given the rock a lot against a terrible defense.

WR: Jeremy Kerley at Falcons - What is going on with the Jets, and why would anyone want to start a receiver catching passes from Geno Smith on the road? Well, it's a matter of the process of elimination. The injury bug has all but eliminated all the wide receivers on the Jets roster, and now Kerley is the last man standing. The Falcons are desperate for a win, and so there is every reason to beleive the Jets will fall behind early. This means the Jets will be throwing the ball alot, and Kerley is basically the only healthy receiver on the Jets roster. Kellen Winslow will also compete with Kerley for targets, but the Jet will have to throw a lot in this game and Kerley should see plenty of balls coming his way.
TE: Brandon Pettigrew at Packers - After Burleson broke his arm in a car accident, fantasy owners began speculating over who would pick up the targets left by Burleson's injury. Based on last week's game, the answer to that question is Brandon Pettigrew. Pettigrew has become a forgotten man in the Fantasy Football World, but he has averaged 71 receptions over the past three seasons. Pettigrew is a prime candidate to step up and be a big target over the middle of the field, and he should see several targets in what should be a shootout against Green Bay.
Def: Falcons vs Jets - It is not a gutsy move to start a defense that is playing at home against the Jets rookie QB, Geno Smith. But it is gutsy to start a defense owned in less than 20% of leagues and started in less than 10%. The Falcons have a great matchup for their Monday Night must win game. Geno Smith is a turnover machine, especially on the road, and even though the Falcons defense has suffered some big injuries, they should be able to get turnovers and put up nice fantasy numbers on Monday night.
